3 Bean Slow Cooker Chili

Updated: May 19, 2020

Super easy meal and perfect for cold winter days! Throw everything in the crockpot and let it cook while you are at work. The hardest part of this recipe is chopping the onion, but don’t worry, I found an easy way around that. If you want to skip the hard work and tears, opt for the pre diced onions I get from Walmart. This spicy meal pair perfectly with some sweet cornbread :) Enjoy!

Ingredients: 1 package of ground turkey or 1 package of ground beef 1 (28 ounce) can of fire roasted tomatoes 1 (16 ounce) can of tomato sauce 1 can pin of pinto beans, rinsed and drained 1 can of kidney beans, rinsed and drained 1 can of black beans, rinsed and drained 1 small onion, chopped 1 (4.5 ounce) can chopped green chiles 2 tablespoons of chilli powder 1 tablespoon of minced garlic 1 tablespoon of oregano 1 pinch of ground cumin Directions: Cook and stir turkey( or beef) in a large skillet until completely browned, 8 to 10 minutes, transfer to the crockpot. Stir tomatoes, tomato sauce, pinto beans, kidney beans, black beans, onion, green chilies, chili powder, garlic, oregano, and cumin with the meat in the crockpot Cook on High for 4 hours or on low for 7 hours
